A good day…

by Jennifer on May 14, 2008

I’m off to Girl’s class with a cupcake cake. The kids with summer birthday are each assigned a day in May to celebrate their birthday in class, and today is her day.

After that, I’m off to play poker. In the middle of the day. (gasp)

Their dad will pick them up after school, and I will win the noon tournament. At least one of those things is true. (The way my luck is going, it won’t likely be both things.) Still, it’s an afternoon off for me!

Anyway, I will leave you with the trailer for the Sex and the City movie. It’s out in just two weeks, on May 30 (as if you girls didn’t know this). Is anyone else excited to see this?

I wont say .. well I cant say it if I wont say it.. When Husband goes to his weekly poker game I am not ‘allowed’ to say those words. I am only allowed to say ‘see you later’ .. so I’ll say ‘see you later’ to you in lieu of those words I am not to say.

How cool to celebrate summer birthdays in May … whoever thought that up was smart, now no one gets/feels left out.

As for the Sex In The City … we (meaning HE) likes to wait to watch movies at home on the BIG television with me or on his iMac w/headphones by his lonesome. But I look forward to your review.

I’m totally excited about the movie.

Best thing about leaving elementary school? No more cupcakes on birthdays. And this is coming from a woman who hand formed 32 Rice Krispie Treat Bears (with licorice bow tie collars) for her first kindergartener. It gets old . . .

if i were there we would take the cupcakes and eat them while playing poker (which i don’t actually know how to do) and THEN go see the movie. we’ve always been crazy that way.

I’m happy they gave her a ‘school’ b-day! My older daughter is a summer b-day girl too so we bring stuff on her half birthday!
I used to love Sex in the City when it first came out but by the third season it felt like they were repeating plots. (That and the world discovered it and it lost its edge for me–I am weird that way.)
Can’t wait for your review

My boy has a summer birthday, too. I wonder if I’ll ever be making birthday cupcakes for school…

How sweet that the school gives the summer kids a chance to celebrate their birthdays with their classmates!

Also, I can’t wait for SITC to come out. I really have no one to go with (my own fault) but I do not care. I plan to leave Bean with hub, buy myself a giant popcorn and milk duds, and enjoy it all by my delighted self! SQUEE!

However I do have to say that if Big and Carrie don’t end up together forever at the end, I will be kicking the butt of someone at HBO pictures quite violently. Just in case you see me on the news. πŸ˜‰

Yay, an afternoon off!!!
Bea is beside herself, awaiting the Sex In The City movie. Me? I’m the anomaly – I don’t care one way or the other.
Crossing my fingers for you – hoping for the big payoff!

How did the noon tournament go? I bet you kicked a**.

I may lose your friendship by saying this, but I’ve never been that into Sex in the City. I watched the series finale and not much else.

Having said that, I’m actually looking forward to this movie. I think it was the cosmos part way through the trailer that got me. Now where did I put that bottle of vodka…

That’s wonderful that the school gives all the summer B-Day kids a chance to celebrate with their class.

I can’t wait for the SITC movie to come out. Sis and I already have plans for the big night.

Oh, so jealous about the poker. I hope it went well.

I love cake and the cupcake cake is just pure bonus.

I think I may go see it. Most likely NOT a movie Eric would want to watch, though he did enjoy the series on DVD. However, I feel like the preview gave away everything that happens in it though! Phooey!

I just keep wishing they had left well enough alone. Have a horrible feeling it will be a disaster.

Suzanne May 21, 2008 at 8:31 pm

I cannot WAIT to see SITC……I hope it’s going to be one of those movies that I want to sit through twice and then go home and order the DVD from amazon.
