Today I’m just sharing a few things that make me happy or are touchstones for me.

And this, one of my favorite quotes. I still remember sitting at a restaurant with my best friend when we discovered we were reading the same book (with this quote in it), and started to mention the passage at the exact same time:

I can’t leave you without a song, can I? This one has been my favorite since the first time I heard it, on a road trip to Montana in my Jeep, ten years ago.

As I lie here icing my back I am looking longingly at the photo of Montana .. and thinking how lovely you look .. the jeep aint bad either .. typing like this is not easy .. LOL ..

Oh man, that quote is incredible. Do you have it on your blog? Because I read it somewhere recently and didn’t know it was from Anne Rivers Siddons. I’ve loved her books in the past, and then got dumped on for reading them by my snootier friends. Now that I have all this eddycation behind me, I’m going to go back to them.

OK, this commonality thing..it is making me a bit …”music cue of the Twilight Zone music” freaked. I just LOVE Anne River Siddons. She’s from Georgia and I JUST CAME ACROSS my notes on a lecture she gave that I attended in the boxes that I’ve been going through. There are no coincidences….

Nope, I think you’re wrong, I think Montana is gone.
That last picture takes my breath away. From the time I was very small I saw pictures of Montana and said “I want to live there.” Of course, now I’m older and have a very strong dislike for cold…so perhaps we’ll settle a bit farther south. 🙂

What a quote! Loved it. Sorry to say this is the first time I’ve ever read anything by Rivers Siddons. That Rodin sculpture is one of my favorites too. Something to do with how she melts into him and where that hand of his anchors her. Sarah, well, what can I say, she is a favorite also. Saw her live once. So amazing. Your jeep, I read about over at Cce’s but, seeing you in front of it with that big smile on your face, completely colors in the longing you spoke of feeling for your car.
Never been to Montana. This photo makes me wish that were not so.

The Rodin sculpture–one of my favorite memories was visiting the Metropolitan Museum of Art with you and gazing at this lovely creation. All love should be so passionate. If it’s not, something needs to be done about it.
Ahhh…. Montana. Going to the Sun Road is one of my favorite trips. I’ve found a place in Utah that is beautiful in a different way. Probably two of my favorite places in the entire world.
