Hi, Cox Communications? Yeah, I’m gonna need a refund for the parts of the season finale of Flipping Out that I missed last night because of your lousy cable reception.
Excuse me? Yes, yes, I’ll hold.
Does anyone else watch this show? I cannot get enough of it. Jeff Lewis, an obsessive-compulsive L.A. real estate investor and house flipper, is maddening and picky and talented and and pouty. Oh, and demanding and a little bit abusive to his staff. He lives in a whole different world from most of us (all?).
At his side is his long-suffering assistant Jenni, who puts up with all kinds of crazy requests (down to the exact temperature of his coffee drink) and has gorgeous hair, to boot (seriously, how long does she spend on her hair?).
Add in Zoila the housekeeper, a mess of pets, and a revolving cast of house assistants, and it’s impossible not to watch.
Unless your cable is out, of course. (Am I still on hold? Hello?)

Edited: I meant to highlight “a little bit” when I wrote that Jeff is a little bit abusive to his staff, so you would know I was understating. (It was late, and I missed it. Fixed it now.) He’s a complete ass to the people who work for him.

I probably need to see more to understand this. But when “Jeff is depressed” and said that he feels like a prostitute, I kind of get that with blogging! Madge told me something once before I started blogging that were along those lines (not exactly, but the idea was the same), and I couldn’t see how that could happen. I can now.
I know this post has nothing to do with blogging, but since I’ve never seen this and have no idea what it is, my comment is just in reaction.

I cannot get enough of this show. I discovered it this season and quickly became mesmerized by the madness that is, Jeff Lewis. I guess he makes me feel so much better about my OCD tendencies. He makes me look so normal. LOL!

The good thing (?) about Bravo shows is you know they’ll repeat it again, and again, and again.
I love seeing Ryan with Jeff. It’s like he’s amused by him, but really listens to him and takes him seriously. While laughing at him. Nice connection, very real.
Annnndddd, I had said I wouldn’t be watching this show! LOL But that’s how Bravo gets you, they repeat it so much, it’s on during those times you just want to turn off your brain, and it’s the only thing on….

Sadly, one of the first things to go when times get tight is extended cable. So we dumped Cox, down to basic cable only. Therefor I have never heard of this show.
